SEMCO SURFACES
SEMCO SURFACES
The business
Driven by a need for innovation in building materials, engineers at SEMCO Surfaces were responsible for the creation of the world’s original microcement, X-Bond, in 1991. From their base in the USA, business has evolved over the past three decades to reach every corner of the globe.
Having made our mark with SEMCO’s Australian partners, we were engaged to take over (remotely) as the SEMCO Surfaces US digital marketing team.
The brief
Seeing the results we achieved for Seamless Overlays, SEMCO Surfaces engaged Lure for Website Development, Social Media Management, SEO, and Meta Advertising. Their primary goals were:
Modernise the brand identity via a new website & social media overhaul
Grow inbound website traffic
Widen operations within the US with a starting focus on California
Triple enquiries for the X-Bond product from approx. 10-20 a month
-
Our first task was building a brand new, SEO-friendly website from scratch using SquareSpace. With six product categories, thousands of projects worldwide, important technical information to convey, and three key customer segments — this was no small undertaking. This included actioning initial Content, Technical, and Link Building SEO Strategies with a focus on keywords and site structure.
-
SEMCO Surfaces needed a complete overhaul of their social media strategy, pivoting to a more design-led and polished aesthetic appealing mainly to clients with high-end residential briefs — and those who are unfamiliar with microcement. The grid features a combination of original reels and carousel posts created by our team, as well as consolidating X-Bond project highlights from multiple different countries.
-
Our Meta ad campaigns have been directly responsible for increasing website submissions from an average of between 10 and 20 a month to over 250 in month one and 270 in month two!
Secondary to this, a significant portion of inbound traffic (+6000 more visitors) and social media reach (76.6% of content views and approx 200 followers a month) were introduced to SEMCO via an ad.
